Purpose in the Community

Who We Are

At Purpose Investments, we believe our company and the products and services we deliver will provide a real long-term benefit to society. But our commitment to improving the lives of Canadians does not stop with our contributions to asset management. Purpose is committed to supporting a variety of causes that matter to our clients, partners, employees and communities. In addition to our charitable donations and sponsorships we support at a corporate level, Purpose encourages our employees to make a difference in their local communities through their own volunteer efforts and with programs that allow them to enhance their contribution to others. Below are some of the great organizations we support:

The Next 36The Next 36 is a program that accelerates the growth of Canada’s most talented young entrepreneurs by providing mentorship, capital, and unparalleled founder development. Each year, we choose 36 young Canadian innovators and challenge them to build a new business venture or iterate and scale an existing idea with enormous potential. For eight months, these young entrepreneurs are mentored by successful Canadian entrepreneurs and business leaders, taught by some of the world’s top faculty, and seek funding from top investors to build their venture.

The Heart & Stroke FoundationThe Heart and Stroke Foundation is one of Canada’s largest and most effective health charities. Over the last 60 years we have invested more than $1.39 billion in heart and stroke research, making us the largest contributor in Canada after the federal government. In that time, the death rate from heart disease and stroke has declined by more than 75 per cent. The Foundation’s health promotion and advocacy programs across the country are saving lives every day. Working together, our employees, volunteers, donors and world-class researchers have made the Heart and Stroke Foundation what we are today: Canada’s most widely recognized and trusted authority on cardiovascular health. Our vision is healthy lives free of heart disease and stroke. Together, we will make it happen.

The Argyle CupSunnybrook Research Institute (SRI) is making medical discoveries that save lives today and advance health care for future generations. Proceeds from The Argyle Cup will support SRI as it builds a powerful tool to uncover the genetic basis of cancer and other diseases.
